Family law
It is an unfortunate fact of life that not all marriages are successful. When a relationship breaks down it is not unusual for one or both parties to seek to dissolve the marriage or to separate.
A fair division of the family assets, including the family home must be worked out. In the majority of cases this is achieved by negotiation between solicitors and agreement between the parties.
In relation to children, we can advise as to residence (formerly called "custody"), contact (formerly called "access") and financial provision.
We can guide you through what is often a difficult time.
Our policy is to try and help you reach an amicable settlement of any dispute with minimum involvement of the Court and which will be in your best interest and in the best interest of your children.
If Court proceedings are required then we shall act and assist you at all stages of the proceedings. We can act for you in the following types of proceedings:
- Divorce
- Financial Applications
- Applications relating to children
- Injunctions
